DECEMBER: 2021 is Greater Than 2020

Gracious, 2020 has been nuts! For our last meetup of 2020, my heart is for us to talk about the weight of 2020 and talk collectively how we can reset our minds, bodies, and souls going in to 2021.

Reverse is a space to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and others without the fear of judgement as we seek authenticity in all areas of our lives.

  • Admission: This meetup is free. If you'd like to donate $5 toward the costs/group, you can find me @reversewomen on Venmo or Cash App. Thank you!

NOVEMBER: Authenticity

Authenticity is a tricky thing. We all strive to be authentic, and it’s crucial we learn steps to get to a place where we are our whole selves - and then accepting of that person. Yet, I’ve discovered this year that there are also times authenticity isn’t helpful and I’d love to share in that as well. Join us as we walk through authenticity together!

Reverse is a space to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and others without the fear of judgement as we seek authenticity in all areas of our lives.

  • $5 for non-members - (Venmo app @reversewomen, Cash app $reversewomen, PayPal.me/reversewomen)

OCTOBER: Self-Advocacy

Join us as we learn how to advocate for ourselves in our personal and professional lives. SEPTEMBER: Expectations

How do we balance family, work, friendships, and our never-ending to-do list? It can feel overwhelming, however it's all about managing expectations, and the good news is you can learn to prioritize like a pro!

This month we'll cover:

  • How do you prioritize your time and effort within relationships?

  • What does accomplishment look like for you right now?

  • How do you know if you're doing the right thing?

AUGUST: Great Expectations

Managing expectations can be difficult, and it looks totally different today than it did six months ago - unfortunately, even more difficult. Why is it that when everything has shut down and life is slower, we feel busier or more overwhelmed than ever? It's all about expectations and you can learn to prioritize like a pro.

This month we'll cover:
- Why do you feel like you aren't crushing it at work?
- How do you prioritize your time and effort within relationships?
- What does accomplishment look like for you right now?
- How do you know if you're doing the right thing?

JULY: In the Arena

Whether we are showing up for ourselves or for others, sometimes we focus on the critics more than the progress. Brené has a fabulous talk called "The Man in the Arena" that explains why it's not the critics who count- based on her book Daring Greatly. Link to Facebook event for RSVP.

This month we'll cover:
〰️ Are you in the arena?
〰️ Who are your critics?
〰️ Who are your cheerleaders?
〰️ How to focus less on your critics and more on your goals.

JUNE: No Right Way

This is a super vulnerable time in the fight against racial injustice. Our minds are full, emotions are high, and hearts are heavy. There is no right way to start showing up, as long as we continue to move toward real conversations and real action. As an extension to our meetup in February on white privilege and allyship, this month we are simply coming together for an open discussion on self-reflection, allyship, and activism. Reverse is a space to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and others without judgement as we seek authenticity in all areas of our lives. Link to the Facebook event here.

*This will be via Zoom; the Compass conference room is not yet open during our Saturday meeting time*

APRIL: Helping Without Hurting

Co-facilitator: Meghan Meeker

We often have the heart to help others in need and also carry the best of intentions. However, there is a difference between helping and enabling. This topic is normally discussed as it relates to poverty, and we will apply it to a few other circumstances as well. We’ll learn how to apply our best intention with the healthiest options for others, instead of perpetuating the cycle.

FEBRUARY: Blurred Lines - Race & Feminism

Co-facilitators: Alicia Robinson & Sydney Jordan

Join us as we dive into a few topics we don’t always talk about together - race and feminism. How do these two topics mix with each other? What is white privilege and how does it affect our relationships among women? What is the #BlackLivesMatter movement and what does it mean? How does media affect our relationships across races and genders?

This is not a space for politics or an agenda; it is a space to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding without the fear of judgement as we seek authenticity in all areas of our lives.
